Last week we talked about Chamomile Essential Oil and its soothing and calming benefits, this week we’re talking about Peppermint Essential Oil!
We decided to include Peppermint Essential oil in our oil pulling products because of its anti-bacterial properties as well as its fresh and minty fragrance that leaves your mouth feeling clean complete with the confidence of super fresh breath.
Peppermint Essential Oil
Peppermint essential oil has a tonne of uses. You can add peppermint oil to a cup of tea to relieve gas (YIKES!) or heart burn. If you’ve got the hiccups, massage a few drops of peppermint at the base of your neck to find relief. To help reduce the swelling of an injury, just massage a few drops of peppermint onto the swollen and painful area. If you’re feeling a bit feverish, try massaging a few drops of peppermint essential oil until your fever breaks.
Peppermint essential oil is also super good for your skin, it can relieve the symptoms of poison ivy and was skin ailments such a eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and rosacea. It’s also really good for acne. If you’re going to use peppermint essential oil on your skin, however, be really careful! if you apply it undiluted to your skin, it could leave you with an uncomfortable, cold or burning sensation.
Peppermint Essential Oil for Oil Pulling
